The Shore Action team is proud to announce a mix of experienced and fresh candidates for the Kaipātiki Local Board for the 2025 Auckland Council election.

The Shore Action team has led a positive and strong Kaipātiki Local Board and made huge progress for our area. This election we are standing a team of eight candidates prepared to take action to deliver for our local communities.

Danielle Grant

Danielle is currently Deputy Chair of the Kaipātiki Local Board and has served on the board for 12 years.

Dave Kaio

Dave is a lead at Te Puni Kōkiri, with years of experience in justice, youth development and with Royal New Zealand Navy.

Dr Janet Tupou

Janet is an elected member of the Kaipātiki Local Board. She has a PhD in Communication Studies and years of working in the community.

John Gillon

John is Chair of the Kaipātiki Local Board and has 18 years governance experience on various boards.

Melanie Kenrick

Melanie is an elected member of the Kaipātiki Local Board and is an experienced director within the disability sector.

Paula Gillon

Paula has an extensive background in local government and is a member of the Kaipātiki Local Board.

Dr Raymond Tan

Raymond is a member of the Kaipātiki Local Board with a PhD focused on optimised and sustainable public asset value, and 20 years experience in the public sector.

Tim Spring

Tim is an elected member of the Kaipātiki Local Board and has a background in community development.
